Any difference between shields? - Guild Wars Forums

I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was any kind of difference between the different models of shields?

Usually just looks and skill req..some sheilds use tactics and some use strength, or so far thats all ive noticed

i was sondering the same thing becasue the sell prices on them are different

EI: a buckley that is +10 Armor and a Tall Shield that is +10 have different sale prices and require the same tactic + 5

never understod why there was a difference in sale prices to the merchants

so there is no general rule then? Like tall shields are for tactics while round shields are for strength?

the reason for this may have something to do with materials required to make it..for example a tall sheild may give iron ingots when salvaged but a buckler will only give wood planks. Im not sure if this is the reason, but it would be my guess...that or the availablty of each items...bucklers are more abundant drop wise than a tall sheild
